Mahindra has unveiled its groundbreaking first three-row, seven-seater electric SUV, the XEV 9S, representing the fully electric version of the popular XUV700. Starting at ₹19.95 lakh (ex-showroom), this innovative electric SUV is built on the same INGLO architecture as other vehicles in Mahindra’s Born Electric series, including the XEV 9e and BE 6. The Pack Two Above trim substitutes the 59 kWh battery with a more powerful 70 kWh option, while maintaining the 79 kWh alternative. The 70 kWh battery supports 160 kW DC fast charging, and this variant adds an Auto mode to the regeneration system for improved efficiency.
Exterior upgrades include premium 18-inch alloy wheels replacing the aero-covered options. Interior enhancements feature soft leatherette trim, leatherette upholstery, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel for a more luxurious feel. The audio system upgrades to a premium 16-speaker Harman Kardon setup with Dolby Atmos technology.
